Who is TRF Industrial Automation?

TRF Industrial Automation is an end-of-line automation partner based in Lenexa, Kansas, serving manufacturers in the United States. One team reviews the application, engineers and builds the system, installs it and supports it after startup, so there is one partner accountable for the agreed project scope.

TRF works one application at a time: a product, a rate, a pallet pattern and a plant floor, turned into a line that runs. The goal is a line that runs shift after shift.

Who makes the TRF platforms?

The Torfresma Group manufactures the TRF platforms. TRF Industrial Automation is the group's U.S.-based company and your point of contact for application review, equipment sales, installation and service, from the first conversation to support after handover.

As part of the Torfresma group, TRF draws on the group's 30+ years of engineering experience, 350+ companies served and 2,000+ industrial lines designed and installed. TRF applies that experience to plants in the United States.

What problems does end-of-line automation solve?

End-of-line automation takes the most repetitive and hardest-to-staff work off the end of the line: manual palletizing, manual case packing and cases moved by hand between machines. The goal is a steady rate on every shift, with less strain on your people.

  • Hard-to-fill positions. Robotic palletizing and case packing take repetitive lifting off the schedule, so the line depends less on staffing the toughest jobs on the floor.
  • Ergonomics. Removing repeated lifting, bending and twisting at the end of the line takes that motion off your operators.
  • Line stops and backups. Conveying, accumulation and routing help keep cases moving between machines.
  • Throughput. Each platform is matched to the rate, payload and pallet pattern of your line.
  • Floor space. Compact cells and engineered layouts make the most of the area you already have.
  • Changeovers and product mix. The real SKU mix is part of the application review, so the system fits the plant you run.

Frequently asked questions

Where Is TRF Industrial Automation Located, and Which Regions Does It Serve?

TRF Industrial Automation is based in Lenexa, Kansas, and serves manufacturers across the United States. Field service technicians are centralized at the Lenexa base and travel from there when a visit is needed. See locations and coverage for how plants in every region are supported, and the contact page for address and phone.

Can One Automation Partner Supply Palletizing, Case Packing and Conveyors?

Yes. TRF supplies case packing, conveying and robotic palletizing as one engineered end-of-line system: one project, one engineering team and one partner accountable for the agreed project scope. A plant can also start with a single platform, such as a TRFCobot on one line, and plan for future additions, such as a case packer and conveyors, within a coordinated engineering and controls approach.

What Do I Need to Start an End-of-Line Automation Project?

Bring your product and package dimensions, line rate, pallet pattern, shifts and the floor space at the end of the line. A Sales Engineer starts with your application, not a catalog, and helps you find the right platform. To size the investment first, the palletizing ROI calculator gives a payback estimate for planning.

Start with your line

Tell us about your line, and a Sales Engineer will help you find the right system. Whether you need one palletizing cell or a complete line from case packing to the finished pallet, the conversation starts with your product, your rate and your plant floor.
