What does pulp and paper automation include at the end of the line?
TRF automates three jobs after primary packaging, and each one is sized to the line it serves instead of being sold as a fixed package.
Robotic palletizing. A robot builds the pallet from cases, cartons or bundles in the pattern each order needs. TRF offers collaborative, compact and high-speed palletizing, and engineers a custom palletizer when a product falls outside the standard platforms. See the robotic palletizing page for the full range of platforms.
Case packing. Finished units go into shipping cases by robot or by an integrated machine that forms, packs and seals the case. The Sales Engineer reviews the product and the line setup to choose the platform. See the case packing page for the three case packer platforms.
Conveyor systems. Conveyors carry cases and bundles from one or more lines to the palletizing area, merging, accumulating and routing them so the robot receives an organized flow. The case conveyor systems page describes the modules.

How TRF evaluates a paper and pulp line
Paper and pulp products differ in size, weight and order mix. A Sales Engineer reviews six points of the line before recommending platforms:
- Application. What is packed or palletized (cases, cartons and bundles), its dimensions, how it arrives from primary packaging and how it has to leave the cell.
- Speed. The line rate in products per minute or cases per minute, today and at the planned growth. The rate points to a cobot, a compact industrial robot or a high-speed system.
- Weight. The weight of each case, bag or pail, which sets the gripper and the platform class.
- Pallet pattern. The pallet size, the layer pattern, the stack height and any requirement from the customer receiving the pallet.
- Space. The floor area and ceiling height after primary packaging, including plants where the new cell has to fit around current equipment.
- Integration. The conveyors, controls and machines already in place, and the point where TRF connects to each of them.

Platforms for pulp and paper automation
The platforms that usually come up in paper and pulp depend on the weight of the unit, the number of lines and the order mix.
- Palletizing. TRFCompact fits plants with limited space, TRFSpeed fits high-volume or multi-line operations that share one palletizing area, and TRFCobot fits lower-speed lines with frequent changes. A custom palletizer is reviewed for products outside the standard range.
- Case packing. TRFOnepack erects, packs and seals the case in one machine, and TRFRapidpack suits variable packs.
- Conveying. TRFIntraflow merges, routes and accumulates cases and bundles from several lines toward the palletizer.
Typical ranges for commercial screening. TRF engineering confirms final capacity for each application (product, end-of-arm tool, pallet pattern, reach and process).
When an application falls outside the standard platforms, TRF engineers a custom palletizer around your products and throughput.

How a paper and pulp project moves from first call to commissioning
A TRF project follows the same path in every segment, so you know what to expect from the first conversation:
- Information. You send the package formats, case sizes, line speeds, shifts and a drawing or photos of the space after primary packaging.
- Screening. A Sales Engineer reviews the six points above and screens the platforms that fit the line.
- Layout and proposal. TRF shows how the equipment fits in your plant and defines the scope that the proposal covers.
- Engineering and manufacturing. TRF engineers the mechanics and the controls as one system for the agreed scope.
- Installation and commissioning. The same partner installs and commissions the system, so one team is accountable for the project.
Start with the information you already have. A partial drawing and a list of products are enough for a first conversation with a Sales Engineer about pulp and paper automation.

Projects and videos for paper and pulp
TRF gathers projects and videos of applications in paper and pulp and in neighboring segments. During the evaluation, the Sales Engineer shows the examples closest to your packages, line rate and space, so you can see how a similar end of line is arranged before you decide.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Which finished paper products can TRF palletize?
The standard platforms are sized for cases, cartons, bags and bundles within their weight ranges. Heavier or unusual units are reviewed as a custom palletizer. Share the dimensions, the weight and the way the unit arrives from the line, and the Sales Engineer will confirm the route.
How do I plan one palletizing area for several lines?
List the lines, the rate of each and where they are in the plant. A centralized system can receive cases from all of them, with conveyors merging and routing the flow. TRFSpeed scales from a dedicated cell to a centralized multi-line system, and TRF validates the combined rate.
What should I gather before a first call about a paper or pulp plant?
Gather the product and unit dimensions, the unit weight, the line rates, the pallet specification, a plant drawing with the available space and a note on which equipment is already in place. These six items are enough for a first screening of the platforms.
Does TRF replace converting or process equipment?
No. TRF works after the product is finished and packaged. Converting and process equipment stay with their suppliers, and TRF engineers the interface at their discharge.
How does the system adapt to orders that change from one run to the next?
The controls store a pallet pattern for each product, so an order change means selecting another recipe. TRF reviews the typical order mix and the frequency of changes to decide how many patterns the system needs and how the conveyors route each product.
Start your pulp and paper automation project
Pulp and paper automation works when the steps after the line are sized for the same plant: the case packer for the rate, the conveyors for the flow from every line and the palletizer for the unit weight and the order mix. Send your products, unit weights, line rates and layout, and a TRF Sales Engineer will screen the platforms that fit.
